The “Get Paid To” Online Industry…Scam or Legitimate?

Scams are abound on the net. As one of the riskiest industries, the “Get Paid To” industry does help a lot of people earn money online if they are indeed legitimate. I have encountered numerous scams yet some have actually been profitable and have paid off. Paid surveys, phone calls, and work at home jobs have been some of the few that I have made money from.

You can complete offers, fill out surveys, or simply answer phone calls as they come through your phone. Little over 4 years ago, I began to start making money online. I have been a member of Pinecone research for a few years now. They pay anywhere from $3-5 per online survey you complete and sometimes send products to test in the mail, completely free. I have received disk detergent and candles from their companies. A ton of online survey companies are scams or resell your information to another party. Pinecone is one of the best and the only one I trust.

If your looking get rich quick, you need to go play the Powerball lottery. This industry is sometimes useless as the amount of payouts per task completed have gone down considerably. So, with that disclaimer being said, one of the best GPT survey-offer-paid to click websites is TreasureTrooper. With a very cool website design and theme, some of the tasks are to click on ads, fill our surveys, sign up for free products, and play some casino type games on their website. As a method of passive income, I use TreasureTroopera lot to pay my gas bill one a week($65) and they pay on time. They are by far the most well know in the GPT industry for filling out free offers and answering quick surveys. They offer tons of prizes and payout methods such as Paypal, Check, Disney Dollars, gift certificates, and many more. You can anticipate to make $100 a week if you put about 2 hours a day into this program. Good medium size money maker.

Beware Beware…of those nasty scams. They include Get Paid to surf websites, download a toolbar on your computer, or join a multi-level-marketing scheme. These are everyone and there are thousands of these websites scattered all over the internet and are usually fly by night operations. Some Ponzi schemes and Surf opportunities are illegal in a lot of countries.

As a part time affiliate marketer, I can recognize a ton of traps within the GPT industry. Many offer to pay people to play video games, watch television and commercials, as well as watching sports. Also included in thi category is “Free Cable and Satellite TV on your computer”. I have yet to see a website actually pay people to do any of the following. If you would like to watch free television channels on your computer, go to ChannelChooser.

So beware of these “Get Paid To” operations as identity theft and reselling of your information can be a huge pain. Don’t pay any money to join any of them and do you research before you join. If your looking for an online job, go to LiveOps and apply, they are legitimate.

  1. in your opinion, what would make someone more money?

a part time job with slightly higher than minimum wage or spending that same amount of time doing GPT surveys?

  2. Oh I would strongly advise anyone to get a job and get out into the workforce. I was simply doing a review of this online industry showing both the real legit programs as passive income and those that are scams. Thanks for the comment!

  3. There are some that are scams, and some are legitimate. It is really up to the person whether he will allow himself to be scammed or not. imho.

  4. Theres nothing wrong with a helping hand……

  5. I enjoy GPT sites and I make good money just sitting on my butt and typing all day. I am in the US Army so I work it is just good side money… Some are scams but if you look into them instead of just rushing to try and make money you get good results and you can pretty much weed out the uglies!

  6. true some are scams. But sites that have been around more than a year and have thousands of members and continuously adding offers are not. you can do a google search and usually tell this

  7. true lots of the survey scams are out there these days. Especially ones that come up in adwords that sell a 39 report - that is just a list of places you can do surveys. And the top ones are owned by those companies!

  8. Good site I “Stumbledupon” it today and gave it a stumble for you.. looking forward to seeing what else you have..later

  9. I have been taking surveys online for almost a year now and I have made thousands of dollars so far and counting. The key is to sign up for as many of the good ones as you can. The best ones are the sites that pay well and send surveys consistently. I have written a blog about this which includes links to some of the best paid survey sites I have found.
