Building Wealth in a Blog
This blog has value. Its an asset that is held by Peter and I and we use this to communicate the concept of personal wealth and money management as well as some other interesting concepts along the way. But, this blog is also a method for us to gain a bit of passive income to help pay for small expenses although we haven’t reached that mark yet. The tide of bloggers these days is to blog about making money from their blog or affiliate marketing. We do advertise our monthly income reports as this is income that Peter and I divide evenly and helps put some spare change in our pockets.
So how are we building wealth inside this blog? Simple really!
Every day, I submit this blog’s URL to various website directories as well as article submission websites in hope of moving up in the Google search rankings and reaching a higher page rank for our readers. This helps us reach more people wanting to learn about personal finanace and money management. The value of any website relies on these “backlinks” and helps Google understand that a lot of websites recognize our website.
Also, I send a ton of traffic every now and then to the blog with some uberly secretive viral marketing methods. More traffic equals more money in revenue. Also, the more people who visit our blog is related to the number of comments we receive on each blog post. Traffic also helps your website move up in the page ranks of the various search engines and in turn helps deliver more traffic for each targeted keyword. More traffic turns into more revenue.
Our two main methods of revenue come from Google’s Adsense as well as Kontera text link ads. Google accumulates for about 95% of all revenue from the blog. We recently added Kontera as they are a very unobtrusive method for advertising and only pop up if you highlight over a specific keyword.
As previously mentioned, this blog is an asset for Peter and I, but more importantly, we want it to be an asset for all of us as we learn and grow in the areas of personal finance and reach all of our financial goals.
And as always, we want to thank our loyal readers for sticking with us! ![]()
