Why people don’t invest in real estate

There are a couple of reasons people don’t invest in real estate, so today I would like to present some ways to help you get around those problems.

People are scared of how large the numbers are. When people look down and see they are signing for a $200,000 mortgage they get nervous, and rightly so. But leveraging your money is one of the best ways to create wealth so instead of fearing it embrace it. If you have done your research properly you should be confident in the fact that by leveraging your money you will be increasing your return. If you don’t think you will be increasing your return then find a new property or findĀ  new area to invest in.

People don’t know how. Lets face it, a lot of people don’t know how to invest in real estate. There are many expensive seminars and courses out there, some being better then others. Fist thing I would suggest in purchasing a book on investing, this is a fairly inexpensive investment and can help you grasp the basics. After reading the book you should have a better idea of what you still want to learn before investing. Do some research, talk to people, find the best program that can help you achieve your goals. Don’t sign up for the first thing you see. If it is anything the internet is a great source of information, so you should be able to find reviews of products. You also want to be frugal about the seminar, going to an $8,000 week long workshop may be better then the $1,000 workshop but is it really $7,000 better?

These two barriers can be easily overcome and yet they stop the vast majority of people from investing. There are other ways to invest in real estate without actually doing all the work yourself, and I will be discussing this tomorrow.

  1. Regarless of the type of real estate investing you are considering doing. Based on my 6 years of investing experience, people who are educated in the investing process and understand investing strategies are the most successful. I came across some free investment strategy videos and this ebook that I thought would be cool to share with everyone. You can download it at http://www.SamBell3rd.com . Happy investing and I hope this resource is a benefit for you.
