Controlling your need to spend

I cannot count the number of times I have found myself at school in the middle of class with my stomach growling. This is because I generally forget or just choose not to pack a lunch/snack. And my body’s way of responding is by making these large growls, I have no control over them.

Sometimes I am lucky enough the sounds are only soft and nobody notices, other times I try and pretend its my cell phone on vibrate (I don’t think I have managed to fool anyone yet). As you can imagine the sounds are rather embarrassing.

So I’ll just try to ignore them and hope that everybody else does the same. I could go a buy a quick snack or head over to the food court and purchase a small lunch. These purchases would of course be the cheapest items I could buy, but still it would be an additional purchase that I didn’t need.

This article highlights my dedication to saving money, despite the health  risks I induce. Going to this extreme is rarely necessary, but it still important to not spend needlessly. Buying lunch, when you could have easily brought one is a great way to waste money. Forgetting a lunch and then refusing to buy one is a great to faint during a presentation ;)
